"Fly" this TB from airport to airport, to land near Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana... and back to a cache near its owner.
Amelia Mary Earnhart, (born July 24, 1897-declared dead in absentia, January 5, 1939), was a noted woman pioneer aviator. She was the first American woman to receive the U.S. Distinguished Flying Cross for being the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. In 1935 she joined the faculty of the world famous Purdue University aviation department. Her duties included counseling women on careers, along with inspiring them with her love of flying. During an attempt to circumnavigate the globe, in 1937, in a Purdue-funded Lockheed Electra, she disappeared. Earnhart is said to have been lost over the Pacific near Howland Island. The fascination with her life and career continues to this day. (View the DVD "Amelia" with Hilary Swank, to watch more about her.) Amelia, what happened to you!?
