We celebrate Independence Day on the 4th of July, but had we lost The Revolutionary War, July 4th 1776 would have been little more than a footnote in the history books. Independence was won on October 19th 1781 at the battle of Yorktown. This virtual cache is located at a cave where Earl Cornwallis had to take refuge shortly before surrendering to the American and French forces. About 100 yards from the cave is the monument where the victory is commemorated.
