About This Item

My home town is in far Western Kentucky, a small community near the Mississippi River.  Milburn Kentucky is a great place to live and raise a family.  I would like to travel to many small towns and even the larger citys of the United States.  You never know where I may show up at.  Please log me when you spot me out and about.

After almost 12,360 miles traveled through 13 States and 436 caches visited since we rescued Blazing a Cache Trail on October 21, 2022, in Ames, Iowa, it is time to hand it off to someone else to get it further on its journey!!

Goodbye Blazing a Cache Trail!! We had a great ride, and we’re glad that we were able to rescue you, determine your TB Code, add a hitchhiker with that code, to take you to places that you had never been before and to add the first pictures to your Gallery!!

Attached is a picture of Blazing a Cache Trail and its hitchhikers at the Mansion where we are now placing it. Enjoy!!

    Safe travels!!

    • Blazing a Cache Trail @ Emporia's Traveler Man This neo-classical home was built between 1915 and 1917 by contractor Henry Kempher for the Albert and Mary Gufler family. Albert was known for his contributions to Emporia!! Then-future president Herbert Hoover was a guest of the family, staying in one of the 8 bedrooms in this 7,453 sq. ft. 3-story. This mansion later became home to the TKE fraternity who added their motto to the fireplace and a kitchen and huge locker-room-style bathroom to the basement.
