After spending a long summer on the Blue Ridge Danger Boy began to appreciate those around him. Somebody left him a car so he could travel short distances. One day the animals began to act spooked. Then Danger Boy smelled smoke. FIRE! Not wanting to leave his new friends behind he quickly loaded everything and everybody into the car and began to make a run for it. However, the fire was too fast and overcame the car. Danger Boy grabbed the person nearest him and made a dash for it on foot. But it was too late. Danger Boy was lost but that person, “lucky coin,” survived to be rescued today. Danger Boy may have wanted everybody to think he was wild and angry but in the end the soft part of him won although it cost him his life. As a final note the fire jumped over a very small patch of land just 30 feet away. Danger Boy could have made it if he hadn’t taken time to try and save the others.
