If you have found the bug in a cache, please add a note to the cache log book, register it on the web page. Make sure it is addressed to a different Province, if not apply one of the enclosed address labels, and set of stamps. Then drop it in a Canada Post mailbox.
This bug is not part of the Canadian TB race, and is only travelling to see how well this plan works.
Thank you all for your assistance.

After entering "The Bear Bell Bug" in the Cross Canada Travel Bug race, I started to think that there had to be a faster way to get a bug moving across the country. I decided the fastest way to do it, would be to have cachers drop and log the bug, then have the next cacher to find it could mail it the next Province, where it could be logged into another cache. This would limit the travel time to a couple of days per leg. The duration of the journey would be dependant on how long it waited each cache.
So I have decided to try it out, and see if it works. In preparation, I have contacted cachers across Canada who have agreed to receive the bug by mail. Enclosed inside the resealable bug envelope, are small packets. Each packet holds a pre-addressed label for one of the cachers, and adequate postage to get it there.
Please make sure the bug has been properly logged in your Province. Both in the cache log book, and on the web page.
If so check to see if the bug is addressed to a new Province.
If not open only one of the enclosed packets, apply the new address label and stamps, reseal the bug envelope.
Drop it in any Canada Post, mail box.
Thank you all for your assistance.
A couple of people have asked me to clarify the process of receiving and hiding the bug. It's a little difficult to explain as it could work a couple of ways.
Here's an example.
1. "Cacher1" in Vancouver opens one of the packets contained inside the bug envelope, applying the Prince Edward Island address label, and stamps.
2. "Cacher1 in drops it in a Vancouver cache, and logs it in the log book, and on the web page to prove it has been in BC.
3. "Cacher2" finds it in the cache, and drops it in a mailbox. It doesn't matter if Cacher 2. logs a find on the bug or not. Cacher 3 will be able to grab it either from the BC cache, or from Cacher2.
4. "Cacher3" receives it by mail in PEI, and you start over with Cacher 3 becoming "Cacher1" , (Step 1) Opening one of the packets contained inside the bug envelope, applying a new address label, and stamps.
Then (Step2) drops it in a PEI cache, and logs it in the log book, and on the web page to prove it has been in PEI.
I think the following should cover some of the confusion;
You can either pull it out and drop it in the mailbox yourself, or leave if for someone else to find and mail it. It will work either way, and just depends on how you feel about the way a bug should travel. I'm happy either
way, and will leave it up to your discretion. The main thing is that it must be logged into the cache, both in the log book, and on the web page to prove it has been to the cache site. A digital picture would be nice, but we can't
all have the toys.

The speed bug arrived home yesterday. It would appear that Canada Post redirected it to the dead letter office for short time. They have marked it insufficient postage, despite the fact that correct postage was attached. I guess they didn't like the stamps being put on a sticker then attached.
Oh well at least we know what happened to it.
Thanks to everyone for your help.

We've logged the Cross Canada Speed Bug in the Gnome's Home by Tick & Nammie - two fun & active Ottawa area geocachers. The postie will collect the bug from the corner near our house at 2pm this afternoon and send the bug way out west to Alberta!
Safe Travels!
