10/01/2007 - Same name, different critter. Let's hope this ones last a loooong time.
09/23/2007 - We had a number of Travel Bugs go MIA over the last few years. This is one of them. We have gathered them from the Great Beyond and are starting them back on a new journey.
Please take the time to help this TB on his mission to see the country…….. To infinity and beyond. (B. Lightyear, circa 1997)
T.T.B.F.K.A.S. was released into the wild on August 18, 2003. This Travel Bug is a reincarnation of the Spike TB.
The original Spike began his life as a railroad spike in a West Central Florida cache. He did some traveling for a brief period of time, ending up in Jekyll Island. From there, he attempted to board a plane for a flight to Washington State. The crack security team at the airport deemed him to be a dangerous weapon and detained him. Spike is currently in the Travel Bug Witness Protection Program. Fortunately, his TB ID Tag was returned to his owner.
T.T.B.F.K.A.S. should not suffer the same fate as his namesake, but care should be taken when traveling with TB’s.
His current goal is to get back out to Seattle Washington to resume his tour of the Northwest.

I'm going to be putting this travel bug into another cache later today. Travel Bug Formally Known as Spike has been in my cache (that I had to disable) too long.

Myself, my wife, two daughters and my wife's friend had found The Travel Bug Formally Known as Spike in the Uhthoff Trail Cache. This cache was a little bit harder to find than the other two we found today. The Travel Bug Formally Known as Spike will be placed in our own cache that we will be hiding soon.

Picked this bad boy up to try and move him forward. Will probably take him out west to Banff, AB on our honeymoon in a bit.

Spike wanted to stay but the container was just too small. He's anxious to move on so we'll find a new home for him soon.
