This is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL and expressive coin that I have ever purchased, I hope it travels across the USA and gets to meet all sorts of neat cachers for AT LEAST 10 years, in honor of the life-changing event that it pays tribute to.
My thoughts and sympathies to all affected by the events of 9-11.
On the Today Show this morning (9/9/11), one of the children of a victim of the Trade Center opted to tatoo a tribute to his father on his torso, it's very touching and eloquent:
"If tears could build a stairway,
and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven,
and bring you home again."

I remember being at home watching the news and seeing the events of 9/11 unfold and then going to work and seeing the updates throughout the day. I will always remember with a moment of silence the courageous individuals that helped in the aftermath of those events and my heart goes out to everyone whose lives were affected that day (small or great).

My 9/11/01 experience isn't the most heartwarming - I had just got off work a few hours before and nothing registered when I was told the twin towers were hit by planes. But reality sunk in soon enough. It still amazes me to this day how an entire people can be vilified to the point that killing innocents can be considered a victory. Hopefully we can keep the tradition of remembering those who were killed, both trapped and rescuers, and bring the good we see in those that served into our own lives.

This is a very precious coin and I am honored to be able to discover it.
I am a federal employee and I was working the morning of 9/11, we were evacuated as no one knew what building would be next.
I pray for all lost and there families. God Bless!
