The goal of this coin is to be dropped into - or to visit - caches where there is a baptismal font or baptismal site nearby in whatever country it happens to be in at the time. (This goal was chosen just before "Desmond" was dropped and when it had already visited a number of sites at random as its owners came across them .)
This geocoin is named in honour of a young man who is too young at this stage of his life to appreciate the travels "his coin" is making but who, at some future date, may be spurred into broadening his horizons through travel because of the experiences of this coin. Please respect our intent by keeping "Desmond" moving along and, as far as is possible, helping it to achieve its stated goal. Thank you!!
