Current Goal

Get to Magnetic Island in Queensland, Australia and have it's picture taken there. Maybe see a cache or two while on the island. After that, it's time to get back home to any Cache in Ajax, Ontario, Canada.

About This Item

Clan Perez Georacer Geocoin

Back in 1990, I took a year off and traveled extensively in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. Out of the entire trip, the best time I had was when I stayed on Magnetic Island - met some great people, learned to dive, had a fantastic time... it was awesome! Since I'll likely not get back there again, I'll just have to live vicariously through my coin. Hence the goal for this coin is to get back to Magnetic Island.

Well grabbed this one from Map Monkey - We are off to Toronto later in the year to start a tour from there so the geogirls were most excited to see this coin. Magnetic Island hmm ... at least it is finally in the right state - we will drop it off in Brisbane somewhere in the hope that someone is going further north and can take it with them. It's a beautiful summers day here in Brisbane today - lots and lots of sunshine - humidity is high - am about to go and jump in the pool!! Bet the weather is not that nice in Toronto today - bet it's quite a bit colder!

Nice coin. Will move him a little closer to his goal. I was raised in Townsville so I know what you mean about Maggie Island. We used to hold onto our pocket money so we could afford to take the ferry over on the weekend.
