Andy Hardy's Nickel, obverse side

In the 1930's and `40's the Andy Hardy series of movies was produced. Our hero, Andy Hardy, was played by Mickey Rooney. The series chronicled the vicissitudes of young Andy's love life and economic status, both of which were mercurial to say the least.

In one of these films Andy laments, "I'm so broke that if you could go around the world for a nickel, I couldn't even get out of sight."

So the goal of Andy Hardy's Nickel is to not only get out of sight, but to get around the world -- for Andy's sake!

I'll get Andy's Nickle in a local cache here in South Carolina. Maybe it will keep heading east - got a long way to go. We introduced Grandma to caching on her 80th birthday and after four caches in Colorado finally hit one with a TB. She was thrilled and is begining to understand the concept.
