    • ANN at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign!! If you don’t visit the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign, did you even come to Vegas? Amongst all of the great things to do in Las Vegas, this is easily the best way to make your friends jealous. People have been visiting the sign basically since its placement in 1959. Fun fact: the sign didn’t have a designated parking lot or a place for visitors to strike a pose until 2008. So people were literally dodging traffic for a picture with this 25 foot-tall legendary landmark.

    Before we head North tomorrow for Las Vegas to watch our granddaughter compete in the All in Barrel Race event, attached is one last picture of ANN and her new hitchhiker in Arizona, taken not too far from this cache!!

    It is from the back roof deck of our house in Scottsdale, Arizona, looking across the Salt River-Pima Indian Reservation, with Camelback Mountain in the distance.

    • ANN and her new hitchhiker & Camelback Mountain!! The name of Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona, is derived from its shape, which resembles the hump and head of a kneeling camel. The mountain, a prominent landmark of the Phoenix metropolitan area, is located in the Camelback Mountain Echo Canyon Recreation Area between the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix and the town of Paradise Valley. It is a popular recreation destination for hiking and rock climbing.
