Al zo'n 35 jaar draag ik in de zomer eenvoudige teenslippers. Goed te dragen als de zon schijnt, maar het is ook niet erg als ze nat worden. En vuile teenslippers zijn zo weer schoon met een beetje water en zeep.
In Zuid-Afrika worden teenslippers gemaakt van oude autobanden en worden ze "plakkies" genoemd. Leuke naam.
Since about 35 year I'm wearing flip-flops in the summer. It's nice to wear them when the sun is shining. On the other hand: I don't care when its raining. Dirty filp-flops can easely be cleaned with some soap and water.
In South Africa flip-flops are made out of car tires and they are called "plakkies" over there. I like that name.
