Adam Apple grew up in a pretty orchard in the rolling Somerset countryside without a care in the world. As the halcyon days flew by Adam’s mind turned to the Harvest and he started to worry. Each year the young apples would be collected together in the Harvest and taken away from the orchard to do battle in the Cider Wars at Strong-in-the-Bow; none ever returned. Adam, chilled by the stories, decided to turn his back on the orchard and run away. Please help Adam, the Absconding Apple, avoid the terrible fate that is Cider* by moving him around the world as quickly and as often as possible; if he stays in any one place too long the Cooking Apples can get a fix on his iPip. If caught, Adam’s punishment would be the diabolical torture of the infamous Cider Press, where his life’s blood would be slowly squeezed from him. Please help Adam avoid this unspeakable end.

After many years on the run and without being discovered for such a long time, Adam returned home to see whether things had changed and if he would now be safe. To his horror it had become even worse; the other apples told Adam terrible tales of experiments, injections of different fruit juices, unholy berry smashes and torture with ice. Having undergone surgery to change his appearance, he once again made his escape.
