About This Item

This is my sixth Guillain–Barré syndrome travel bug. Guillain–Barré is an accute inflammatory syndrome which attacks the nervous system leading to paralysis. It is not very well known of but affects about 1 in 100,000 and invariably needs hospital care. The severity varies but sufferers usually regain movement albeit over a long period of time. I'd like this bug to travel the world and raise awareness of GBS.
