This coin celebrates the life of Helmut Mueller. It's goal is simply to gather many miles, stories, and adventures as it travels - and to remind each of us to treasure and cherish our loved ones at all times.

As the leader of Skully & Mulder et al., Helmut was one of the early pioneers of geocaching in New Jersey, and was the first President of the Northern New Jersey Cachers group (NNJC). In January 2006, Helmut tragically and unexpectedly passed away, and this coin was one of the many ways the geocaching community reacted to honor, respect, grieve, and to help the family he left behind. All proceeds from this coin went directly to a trust fund for Helmut's three daughters, and if you are interested in donating you can find the information (here). I think this is one of most beautiful coins ever made, and is truly a fitting tribute to Helmut and his family - before moving it the next cache, please take a moment to remember Helmut, and to remind yourself to make the most of your time with those that are close to your heart.
