Current Goal

This is sadly another poxy proxy relaunch!  some kind cacher just took the original suoer boots and simply kept them, stop thief!!!

This little boot isready for caching adventures... all weathers and terrains, nothing worries this trackable.
I am breaking in a new pair of walking boots at the moment, a gift from RVG, and this travel bug is a reminder of just how important a good pair of boots are!
There may be a stray nail in a stile, a Blackthorn thorn laying in wait to stab you,and don't get the Wench started on mud and slurry...
A simple mission and that is to just keep walking in all weathers and  everywhere!
Photos of the journey would be a great way to follow the boots. So stay mud free if you can and enjoy...

If taken to events please ensure it is both logged in and out as several of my bugs have gone to meets and simply vanished, thanks.

About This Item

here we go again

This trackable WAS a metal outline of a pair of strong hiking or is that 'caching' boots, but now a lone little leather boot,  cute but MINE!
This boot needs to be on the move, it is always ready for anything....
Attached to the bug is a dog tag and small keyring giving a brief insight to the simple mission.
Life begins in a small  bag, just to keep things neat and tidy, as now it is a laminated copy of the original tag.

This may be yet another poxy proxy relaunch, but it is a travel bug none the less, so please take great care of it thanks, WW

Thanks to whoever picked up this TB for waiting until I'd logged the drop off and apologies for keeping the TB for longer than 2 weeks as requested. If you look at the photo of the 239 steps cache, I think you will agree it was worth the wait. The boots came with us to Minehead, where we took a bus to Barnstaple. Then we walked round the estuary through Braunton Burrows and past Saunton Sands golf course (hubby liked this!) to Croyde where we night-stopped. On the next day to Ilfracombe after a game of crazy pirate golf in Woolacombe. Boots dropped off just north of Berrynarbor having seen some fantastic views and walked over 100 miles. It was quite an adventure getting them to the 239 steps cache. It was a worthy cache for a beautiful TB. Thanks for sharing. Will try to upload photos when husband gets back from Scotland.

Retrieve It from a Cache 2/26/2013 kcrowgey retrieved it from Porthleven View South West England, United Kingdom   Visit Log

These boots are made for walking and that's just what they've done. Retrieved from Porthleven View, it was a short stroll to our harbourside B&B. Next day, though, it was a yomp along the SW coast path to our farmhouse B&B on the Lizard (14m) followed by a longer trek to Porthallow (16m). Today it was short walk to Helford and then a car trip (luxury but probably cheating for those boots) to Porthcurno and then on to Bournemouth. Will try to do a walk at the weekend when feet and paws have recovered to drop the boots off and keep them moving!

Discovered today whilst helping the Wench to print her inserts for the keyring for this and a relaunch TB.
Hope the new boots don't give cachers blisters, wear two pair of socks!
I have to wear steels everyday for work and know what a blessing they can be, saved my toes for more times than I can remember.
Hope the wench and her new boots stay pain free. my boots are a size 10, and the wench takes a 4.
good luck nice to meet you RVG
