Find someone going to Antarctica, preferably, the South Pole. If that person is you, please contact my owner. I have 3 geocoin friends who would like to go to Antarctica as well.
My owner wintered-over at the South Pole in 1973 and spent the summer of 1974-5 on the Ross Ice Shelf Project.
He'd like to have me and, if possible, 3 geocoin friends go to Antarctica, specifically, to the South Pole Station. There I'd like my picture taken, as well as my 3 geocoin friends, each individually, in front of the new station and/or the geodetic marker.
My owner wintered-over in the first station, build in 1957 and abandoned in 1975. The second station was occupied from 1975 to 2003. The first two stations were abandoned because drifting snow buried the structures. The present station is an elevated design which will hopefully help it overcome the problems of drifting snow for many more years.
He would like me to see the new station and enjoy the incredible view.
