WOW!! I've just read the mission on this coin. Can you believe what a small world this is? I am the first generation living in South Africa, born from parents who come from Madeira. My Mom was born and raised in Funchal and my Dad born and raised in Madelena do Mar. I have been to Madeira twice in my life. Once when I was 9 years old and then again in 2004 when I was 33.

I will take this coin with me to visit some caches and attend some events. Then I'll place it in as safe a cache as I can find.

Rescued this coin from a damaged cache in the Rustenburg Nature Reserve. We do not think it was muggled. It seemed more like animals, perhaps baboon, that got to the cache....along with teeth marks, etc.

We will move you along to another cache which we hope will be safe.
