This "Church Key" has been in my kitchen drawer for over 40 years. In years past, there were no pull tops on beer cans, so you had to open the can with the pointed end. It is also handy to open traditional glass beer bottles, even today. So hoist one for me and post a few photos near your favorite brewery! 
Please do not drink and drive, as it is illegal and it tends to spill the beer.
