This travel bug has two modest goals, to survive more than five years and to be moved by 25 cachers. As of 22-Apr-18 it had been circulating for 5.0 years, but it had been moved by only 21 cachers.
Please drop this item in rural OR Premium Member Only caches. Do not place it in an urban cache or abandon it at a caching event. Transport the bug in the original plastic bag for as long as the bag lasts; the bag keeps the trackable clean, protects the number and prevents tangling with other items. Otherwise, take the travel bug anywhere you wish. No permission is needed to leave the U.S.
Travel bug photos are appreciated. I will re-post them here, where they can be seen by other cachers.
Keychain Pendant (Red Fender Guitar). Charles Hardin Holley (September 7, 1936 – February 3, 1959) known professionally as Buddy Holly, was an American singer-songwriter and a pioneer of rock and roll. Although his success lasted only a year and a half before his death in an airplane crash, Holly is described by critic Bruce Elder as "the single most influential creative force in early rock and roll." His works and innovations inspired and influenced both his contemporaries and later musicians, notably The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Don McLean, and Bob Dylan, and exerted a profound influence on popular music. Holly was in the first group of inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked Holly #13 among "The Fifty Greatest Artists of All Time".
To honor him, his hometown of Lubbock, Texas, named a street and a park for him, as well as constructed a Buddy Holly Center for visitors to see where and how he grew up. This is one of the second series items purchased at the Buddy Holly Center and converted to TBs.

Found the little red Fender guy and thought he'd like to have his photo taken with a big red fender guy!
He'll feel right at home in our house for a wee while...we have rather too many guitars...courtesy of my other half, Mark, who always claims it is because he suffers from G.A.S - Guitar Acquisition Syndrome!
