Next was beautiful Muir Woods. Lovely to go for a hike here away from the car park. Wet weather was forecast for today but we lucked no rain. The trees are magnificent and the whole ecosystem is otherworldly. This is my third visit here but Geocachepro’s first. 🌲

Change of plans this morning as there was a FTF that needed finding. Rerouted the hire car. Not too bad driving, the worst was getting out of the hire car parking. Terrifying. First FTF in the USA for me. 🏆

A trip across the bay to The University of California, Berkeley. Geocachpro is looking at his University Options and Berkeley is high on his list. Lots of exciting scientific research goes on here. Enjoyed our tour of the campus and then took you for a walk around the town of Berkeley. ⚛️

After a day wandering around San Francisco in the rain and the sun, you attended my event in Union Square. It’s the very first event l’ve hosted. It was very wet so we had to relocate to Macy’s food court . Great to meet the brave caches who attended. I have been surprised how different geocache events are treated in London compared to San Francisco (and possibly everywhere else). We are very social in London. ☔️

Welcome to the United States of America. You’ve landed in San Francisco on a very wet day. It feels a little like coming home for me because I lived in America for five years and visited San Francisco several times. It was great to see the sun rise in London, almost set as we crossed Greenland and then start to rise again before setting in SFO. Love the new electric window shades on the plane. 🇺🇸

Very handy having a cache right near my tube station. You’re headed to Heathrow. Find your passport and take your Covid test. 🛫

Mr Wombat’s new working hours woke me up so a quick early morning trip to Shepherd’s Bush for a FTF was in order. 🪱

Zooming all over London collecting travel Covid tests. There’s a run on them with Christmas and Omicron fast approaching. Quick stop for you at Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal Football Club. A new green dot appeared there recently and I wanted that cleaned up. 🥅

What’s better than some tree climbing next to the River Thames and the National Archives on a chilly day in London? The muggles were a bit perplexed but it’s pretty impossible to be stealthy here. Finished with some cache maintenance of my own. 🥷🏻

Wombatwandering took it to The Great Marble Arch Mound Climb

Tonight I took you to an event on top of the Marble Arch Mound, a temporary lump of dirt and scaffolding next to Marble Arch. What an eyesore. It has been dubbed “London’s Worst Tourist Attraction”. The cost was almost £6 million. Hard to believe someone agreed to build it. It originally had an entry fee but was so catastrophically bad that it had to be made free entry, but we had a fun time anyway. 💩
