Parting ways with Nissan Fairlady Z here in Nord Myr Park.

Just across the street is the Hyland Ski Jump where you’re able to get up to the base of it via hiking trails. From this hill you’re able to side the Minneapolis skyline, albeit from quite a distance, but it’s visible nonetheless :)

The cache our "Fair Lady" has visited today is the eighth in a series of nine geocaches along the Nokomis-Minnesota River Regional Trail nestled up against the highway.

This cache is across the highway from the Minneapolis Saint Paul International Airport, and kiddie-corner to the Mall of America: both of which are identified on the map.

There wasn't any planes to get a picture with on the trail due to trees, buildings, and a large dirt pile blocking the view. In addition, with the pandemic causing reduced travel, the airport isn't as busy as per usual, so no low fliers either.

I forgot to grab a picture of the TB in Hinckley, MN, but I do have a picture with a script referencing the Great Hinckley Fires of 1894. The cache visited is located at a memorial for the lives lost during that fire.

Thomas H "Boston" Corbett was a Union army soldier during the United States Civil War. However, he's more well-known as the man who killed John Wilkes Booth. Booth had assassinated President Abraham Lincoln during a performance of Our American Cousin at Ford's Theatre in Washington, DC on April 14, 1865.

Corbett had disappeared near Hinckley, MN in 1888, and is presumed to have died during the Hinckley Fires that took place on September 1st, 1894.

Seem like whoever last had this TB didn't log it correctly, as I found this in The Moose Cave (GC2Q70T), located in Duluth, MN.

Either it somehow made it's way back to this cache from its last logged location (as this trackable was here a little under a year ago), or a mix-up occurred and it never left... Strange!

Anyways, I'll be getting this "fair lady" on its way soon enough :)
