Anchorage, Alaska. Flew IAH-SEA-ANC. 20hr layover. Got in around 9pm Alaska time (CDT-3), went straight to sleep being it had been a very long day. (I left my house in Minnesota at 4:30am CDT for the commute to IAH before starting this trip). Woke up at 5am (Alaska time), which might sounds strange but remember that is 8am CDT. Headed out on a nice pre-planned geocache walking route around town. Did the first few caches just as the sun was coming up - how beautiful! I will give these urban Alaskan cachers lots of credit - I had my highest number of DNFs today. (and many of the caches continue to show regular finds in their logs) 5.5 hours of walking/caching, 10.1 mile walk, 14 finds and 6 DNFs. Back to the hotel before noon, short nap, then flying a long all night redeye (ANC-SEA-CLE)

Left BOS for EWR, then 2426 miles and 5:31 later we arrived in SAN (San Diego, CA) Only had a 14-hr layover so I made the best of it. 6.6 mile walk and 10 cache finds. Great day! Got my September flying schedule and look forward to several good caching adventures....starting with Anchorage, Alaska next week.

DCA-IAH-BOS today. No caches near our hotel in Boston tonight. So, next best thing - I placed a cache. This cache overlooks the Necco candy company. Tomorrow morning BOS-EWR, then EWR-SAN. Hopefully I will be able to get out and cache a little in San Diego, CA.

What a great day in Minnesota. Well, this weekend I had a 32-hr layover in MSP. The crew stays downtown St. Paul. Instead of going home for the day, I had the geo-wife drop the geo-kids off at the geo-grandparents so we could spend some quality time together. We had a great day! Late breakfast at Key's Cafe. Absolutely great weather to spend all day outside. Got out and walked 10.5 miles around St. Paul and the river. Found 16 caches and only 1 DNF (which I'm completely convinced has going missing). Early dinner at Cossettas. Back to work tomorrow, MSP-IAH-MIA, then MIA-IAH-CZM-IAH on Monday. Back home Monday night.
