This coin came from Germany, so the name is written as Christoph Kolumbus, but in England he is better known as Christopher Columbus. Who remembers all those history lessons at school?
The mission for this stunning coin is to travel the globe and visit many locations, reminding people how without this fine felllow who bravely travelled where would we be.
History lesson.... born 1451 died 1506. An Italian navigator and colonist who completed 4 voyages across the Atlantic Ocean persuing a route to the Far East. This is when he discovered a viable sailing route to the Americas. Then unknown to the old world. Dated 1492 October the 12th.

There is a relief outline of the great man himself on the reverse side which also includes the tracking number.
The front of the coin is amazing and shows the man himself standing to the side of an inserted map, it is beautiful and very tactile.
Please keep him safe and make him proud, I am sure he would love caching, after all he was a man of adventure.
The adventure starts with the coin in a small plastic wallet with an insert of laminated information.
