Current Goal

Proclaim the Frog Shrine (GC3540) to all geocachers. Please help me visit areas where I haven't been before. Visits to city halls, courthouses, and state capitols, will help me proclaim the Frog Shrine. I also like to visit other frogs in aquariums, ponds, and creeks. Please post pictures for the tadpoles back home.

About This Item

Amphibus, a native Texan

Hi I am Amphibus, The Frog Nuncio. I am a Travel Bug with a very important mission. I have been charged with spreading the word to all geocachers of the Frog Shrine (GC3540). The Frog Shrine, in Santa Barbara, California, has been visited by all kinds of frogs and frog lovers. You can find some pictures by visiting the cache page. Many frog hearts have been warmed by the affection people bestowed on some famous frogs (such as Kermit, or the pretty multicolored ones in the National Geographic). I think that these people would also like to know about The Frog Shrine. To help me on my mission, please place me in another cache so additional geocachers can learn of The Frog Shrine. If you put me in a cache that many people visit, I can spread the word more quickly. If you can move me to an area where I haven't been before, that would be a big help. A nuncio is an ambassador to a country. You might take me to city halls, courthouses, or state capitols so that I can proclaim the frog shrine. (As a frog, I also like to visit aquariums, ponds, creeks, and other places where I might see other frogs.) Most frogs don't get to travel very far, so please post pictures of the places that I visit so that frogs everywhere can follow my adventures. P.S. Please keep me away from people who eat frog legs!

Here are the pictures we promised. Can you figure out where "Water Mountain" is by the geographic features in the background? Have fun Amphibus will be dropped soon. We had a great time and the firemen got a big kick out of meeting Amphibus.

;) Just a "little green" update. The bad weather and broken water pipes delayed Amphibus' adventures. We hope to finish our fun and complete the "drop" some time this weekend. Thanks for the patience,we should be posting some interesting photos too. Best to all.
