Today a caching person asked why I use a red dragon as my icon. I explained that the red dragon is the symbol that I most identify with, but that caching moniker had been used by many when I began caching in July of 2010. So in my head, I am the red dragon.
This same day, I received this geocoin in the mail as a gift from a new caching person that I have mentored. My mother! So It will remain as a treasured item to be shared at events, but not circulated through caches.
The Dragon is important to me because it is my lunar astrology sign, and that plays a part in my relationship with "the Monkey" that is the perfect balance for a dragon. This year 2012 is the first repeat of my Water Dragon cycle that occurs every 60 years.
This "Black Dragon" version of the "Cache Dragon" series geocoins was created by Groundspeak designer Roxxy. Inspired by the Year of The Dragon, this coin features numerous gemstones and translucent colors with delicate design work. This is a limited edition Black Dragon version of the coin with only 500 coins available. The internet shows only 38 are available today. I call this #462.
