Current Goal

Orca would like to meet other whales, including orcas. She would prefer to stay near the coast, visiting lots of caches close to the sea as she feels at home there.

2006 British Columbia GeoCoin - Orca


This GeoCoin has been specially released for the benefit of GeoCachers in the UK and Europe. We understand that these coins are often perceived as collectable, but please do not keep it as it spoils it for other cachers.

The rules of the game are up to the individual, but we feel swapping tracking numbers by email to get the logo isn't really part of caching, so we'd prefer it if you'd only log our coins if you've actually seen them in person.

The name of this coin reflects image featured on the coin which is a simplified First Nations design. In native stories the whale was a sea-going manifestation of the wolf (a great hunter). It was said that whales had the power to overtake canoes and turn the inhabitants of the canoe into whales.

We found the coin in a cache which does not seem to be visited regurlarly so we decided to help the coin on its way. We will hold on to Orca until we find a good cache to drop it in. Harderwijk, the Netherlands is a good option... especially because it has a seaworld.
