Continuing on our hike along the Woodland Trail. We just visited the cute Gnome Village. Cleaned out the trash from the cache container. No people cache containers are not for trash!

We first spotted a Great Blue Heron by the lake and then took a beautiful hike on the Woodland Trail seeing many more birds as we were led by a stream.

After a rainy camping night, we press on to another State Park. We did change our path to hit Don Carter Park instead. Trails are obviously wet and soggy but nothing is gonna stop us on our Spring Break Camping State Park GeoTour 😅!

We had a picnic lunch beside Rice Creek and then ventured on a hike beside it where this geocache happened to be. Next we cooled off our feet in the water... how nice and clean they feel now!

We enjoyed visiting Watson Mill Bridge State Park despite it being overcast. We took a hike along the river and then through the covered bridge which was the oldest operating covered bridge in Georgia. We looked at the wooden pegs and criss cross trusses. Time to hit another State Park!

We are on Spring Break doing a GA State Park GeoTour so grabbed it from Fort Yargo State Park and we will drop it off at another one. This was our eighth State Park on this trip we have hit so far. We did detour due to a Monadnock Challenge but now back on track!
