Pufferfish

Pete the puffer wants to swim in all the seas of the world to see if he can meet some other interesting creatures on his way.

 

It´s very easy to recognize a Puffer fish! Those cute companions in most of the warm waters around the world are known for their ability to inflate their body, so that they look like a very round porcupine. This they do if you scare them, it´s a good way to avoid being eaten (try to get a grip of a round ball with lots of spines on it...!).

The Puffer is also know for their friendly and curious behavior. Sometimes when you go diving they follow you just to see what you´re doing.

Some other names for puffer fish: balloonfish, blowfish, bubblefish, globefish, swellfish, toadfish, toadies,  honey toads, and sea squab.

It´s a friendly wee fish so please take really good care of him!
