Tonight we were driving from Lincoln, ME back to our home in Bedford, NH, but we recently picked up this travel bug which had not yet visited Maine's Capitol of Augusta, so we couldn't drive by without bringing the TB for a visit to the Maine State Capitol!
So, despite being well after dark and in the middle of snow squalls when we arrived, we brought the TB to the state house for a picture (see photo) and then went to this cache to hopefully leave the TB here. We searched for the cache the best we could in the circumstances. However, our search was cut short by the combination of snow piles everywhere, wind-driven snow falling rapidly, and our still having many miles to go before being home. So, we didn't end up finding the cache, but are having the TB "visit" the location to have it "get credit" for the visit to the nearby Maine State House!
This may actually work out well, as we can now bring the TB to another state capitol! Our home state of New Hampshire was already visited by the TB back in September of 2021, but we'll be in the capitol of another state in just a few more days. Stay tuned...
