Travel to northern Spain, where it would love to visit at as many authentic Basque cider houses as possible.
Bonus points if you take pictures of the meal and describe your experience!
Part 1:
This travel bug is dedicated to my father Joe, who passed away in October 2013 from the complications of throat cancer. He was an avid chef and loved to prepare Basque style cuisine. Growing up near Reno, Nevada a prominent immigration point for many Basque settlers, my father was exposed to and very fond of the cuisine from this region of the world. He studied mining engineering at the Mackay School of Mines, but he would have minored in cooking if they'd have let him! I still remember as a child eating Basque style cuisine at The Martin Hotel in Winnemuca, Nevada, USA every year after our hunting trips for mule deer in the mountains of Nevada. Family style dining with large tables, big fireplaces and wine even for the kids! He never had the chance to travel to the Basque country of northern Spain, but I know that he would have loved it. Someday I plan to visit there in person. I am sending this travel bug ahead of me to do some recon! *wink*
Part 2:
Once this travel bug has made it to northern Spain and made it back to the United States it'd like to go visit a few caches in Winnemuca, Nevada, USA 89445

Once it's mission is complete please return home to GC470TG
