Desert Racer II

This Travel Bug was originally called "Rascal the Raccoon II" and released by The Three Amigos.  It now belongs to GeoJudt and is being released on a new adventure!

Original Goal & Description:

I'd like to wander around and explore like Pvt. Shannon. Could I hitch a ride if I promise to be a sweet rascal?

Hi! I'm Rascal the RaccoonII from Wynot, Nebraska. How did a town get that name? A suggestion struck the fancy of an elderly man. He shouted, "Ja, Uy not Wohumnic?" A listener said, "Sure, why not Why not?" The town had a name. Wynot is in the area where Pvt. George Shannon got lost from the Lewis & Clark expedition while he was hunting for lost horses. My ancestors watched Pvt. Shannon walk all over the area looking for food and hoping to catch up with the keelboat, which he finally did. When my journal is full, please send me back to the Village of Wynot, NE. Thank you!
