Auftrag:
Mission:
please take Beethoven to east Germany (Thüringen) (you did it!!) . Take him now to Austria (Vienna) and afterwards to Slovenia.
Ludwig van Beethoven wurde am 16. Dezember 1770 in Bonn geboren.
1792 ging er nach Wien, wo er 1827 starb.
1824 vollendete Beethoven die weltbekannte 9. Sinfonie.
In English:
Ludwig van Beethoven was born in 1770 in Bonn, near Cologne, (Germany).
In 1792 he went to Vienna, where he died in 1827.
1824 Beethoven composed the world famous 9 Symphony. The theme of this movement is the basis of the European hymn.
My grandfather gave me, when I was a child, the replica of Beethoven on his deathbed (look at the picture).
That was in 1976 in Thüringen (Großlora, east Germany).
I never thought that some day i would live and work in Bonn, the birthplace of Beethoven. It is fantastic and keeps the connection to my grandfather alive. The circle has been closed!
