My aim is to visit the closed and abandoned railways (tracks, tunnels, bridges, stations, viaducts -- anything!) of Britain, learning about them along the way.
Mallard TB is a model of the famous 'A4' class steam locomotive designed by Sir Nigel Gresley for the LNER (London & North Eastern Railway). It set the world speed record for steam locomotives at 126 mph in 1938, and continued in service until 1963. It was returned to steam in 1988 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its record. The 'real' Mallard is now in the National Railway Museum at York.

Will move on ASAP and hopefully to a train related cache
Sorry for not leaving it anywhere for so long, dislocated my shoulder so this was the first time caching in a while!
Thought this was a nice little de-tour for her, it might be a working station now, but for many a years it wasn't!
She wasn't there for long, but I do believe I have a good destination for this TB!
Dipped into "End of the line" - abandoned railway line - but it's a micro so too small to leave anything. Will drop it off properly ASAP.
Collected from GCMMR3 (cache container was broken, TB in danger of vanishing into the scree). Will drop it off soon.
Will try to find an appropriate dropoff v. soon.
