Buffalo “Bill” managed to make it to Scouts Ranch Rest Cache (GCE143) in North Platte, Nebraska and had a nice rest there. Now he is free to travel from cache to cache wherever people are able to take him.

BUFFALO "BILL"

William F. Cody, the famed Pony Express rider and buffalo hunter turned showman, acquired the nickname “Buffalo Bill” after he killed 4,280 Bison during an eight month period in 1867. Twenty years later Buffalo Bill built his ranch and barn at Scouts Rest Ranch in North Platte, Nebraska at the height of his popular Wild West Show. The immense barn, along with the original house, and outbuildings, has been restored and is being preserved by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission as a State Historical Park. The barn features Wild West Show memorabilia, original posters, and a movie made of film clips taken at the time the show was touring throughout the United State and Europe. Visitors are allowed to explore both the ground floor and the loft. The experience is very educational as well as entertaining. It will give you a whole new insight into the "Wild West."

Found Buffalo "Bill" entering the Shady Bay Camping area at Harry Strunk Lake north of Cambridge, Ne. Saw he wanted to go to North Platte where we live. Now I see he needs to roam in other areas. So will let him browse around here for a bit and then send him on his way.

Retrieved during Spring Creeks Prairie Festival. Very appropriate area for this TB.. can almost picture these big fellows roaming the hills. I see a mention in the logs about moving this TB through Golden CO., where Buffalo Bill is buried. Will drop this somewhere near the interstate so that someone might send it in that direction.
