Cap'n Joe's goal is to travel the seven seas and visit far away lands. He is hoping to visit the treasures of his fellow pirates.
I ran into Cap'n Joe during my travels in the U. S. Navy. He has been a good friend and I hope he enjoys his travels.

Found the 'cap in Florida on vacation about a month ago, and noticed he wasn't logged anyplace; including the cache he was found in...Bummer batman... :-(
So...The 'Cap has been revived and is alive once again - to protect and serve! THANX for all you do Cap'n Pete! He now has a new home in sunny Napa, CA at a very frequently visited cache so he'll be on his way once again shortly!
Good to have found him and get him back out there! I know myself how it is to lose one - still waiting for one to pop up myself!
Sort of neat too considering my first loves in the world are lighthouses, and maritime commerce - fits right up my alley! Hated to see him go - but he has a job to do!
Pix to follow shortly......
~~~Peace~~~
Cap'n Joe spent a wonderful holiday season with us, then travelled to Albuquerque, NM in January. He made it 300 feet away from a cache along the Rio Grande river... unfortunately, we were on the wrong side! Ran out of geocaching time, so he flew back to Syracuse and is now along another body of water, the Erie canal!
Picked up Joe and moved him to The Crow's Nest on the shore of Seneca Lake. He can watch over the naval barge and all boats cruising the shoreline.
