Hi! My name is Cowardly Lion and I successfully reached relatives in Santa Barbara, California and am now on my way home to the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area. Please help me return home to Texas. While helping me move along, please post pictures of your interactions with me so that my parents can follow my many exciting adventures along the way.
My name is Cowardly Lion. I am the handsome lion (or is that a puma?) on the left in the attached picture. I live in Lewisville, Texas, which is just north of Dallas. I started my voyage in March, 2002 to visit my cousins, Byron and Eliot, who live in Santa Barbara, California. I arrived in Santa Barbara in July, 2002. I am now hanging around, waiting for my sister, Wonder Woem.
This will be a long trip, so I am sure that there will be many exciting adventures along the way. Since I'm cuddly and cute, maybe you can take your picture with me and post it on my web page so that all of my relatives (and you!) can see what I have been doing.
As you can tell from my name, I am a big scaredy cat. I could use as much love and reassurance as you can give me. I promise never to roar at you...just purr loudly.
My sister, Wonder Woem, is on a similar mission. (She's the black cat in the picture above!) It is not really a race, but of course, I want to get there first. Unfortunately, she is stranded in Washington state and has not yet made it to Santa Barbara. Who knows?? She still might beat me home. Therefore, please help me make my way as quickly as possible.
Update July 25, 2002: Cowardly made it successfully to Santa Barbara!! Thanks to everyone for helping him complete his mission in just over four months and 2831.59 miles of good times and high adventure. He will hang around Santa Barbara and hope to be reunited soon with his sister, Wonder Woem.
Update November 20, 2003: HOORAY!! Wonder Woem has arrived!! Actually, she has been hanging out here in secrecy for sometime, but only now am I able to reveal publically that she is here. She has a lot more to say about that on her website. Byron, Eliot, and I have been showing her the sights. Santa Barbara is so cool....not sure if I really want to return to Texas or not.
Update November 28, 2003: Cowardly Lion begins his trek back to Texas.

I am afraid that Cowardly Lion has shown his tom cat tendencies and wandered off in search of more exciting adventures. I am going to place him in the TB graveyard. However, I would like to think that he has been adopted by someone else and is making them happy. Hopefully he will turn up again some time in the future.

This TB is on my watch list and seems to be in limbo.
Apparently cacher "fishiker" took it from "The Fallen Sobobas" in June, but has not logged it out of this cache, or logged it into any other cache since then.

Our 3 year enjoyed her time with the Cowardly Lion! Now the lion has been released into the wild once again in a lovely pine forest.

On our first Geocaching adventure we found the Cowardly Lion enjoying the beautiful views in Atascadero, CA. We took him home with us to 'Bobcat Ridge'. We named our house after all the bobcats that visit us. We also thought Cowardly Lion might enjoy the company of a few of his cousins.
Our three year old thinks the Cowardly Lion is the cutest thing she has ever see!

Hi Folks -
Cowardly Lion here - had a short stay in the Santa Barbara TB Hotel ... I was picked up by a really cute little 6 year old (one of "TheGirls")...along with Spider Monkey (my new best buddie!!). BOY OH BOY did the 2 of us have FUN with TheGirls. First we went to a Birthday Party in Fountain Valley, California (complete with a Bouncy-Bounce and chocolate cake!!)...THEN, we both traveled home with TheGirls back up to the country - Atascadero, California. The girls live on a farm with lots of animals. Spider Monkey and I lived on the farm a few days and are leaving tomorrow. We've had fun here with TheGirls and animals ('specially those funny chickens - and we even rode on a pony!!) ... we'll be on to our next adventure soon........
Sincerely,
The Cowardly Lion
PS - after all this fun with Spider Monkey and TheGirls I'm really beginning to feel like quite a BRAVE Lion!!
PPS - I also visited my ol' friend ScareCrow in the field here on the farm (he is happy here on the farm keeping birds off all the fruit trees!)

Cool little bug. Took some pictures of it with our own cowardly lion Charlie, and our little rat Lucy. Oh yeah, I gave the pink card a professional laminating job. I figured it was better than the packing tape. :)

Had this one in my posession WAY too long... sorry. The trip east I was hoping to take never happened, and all the caches I have visited lately have been micros. Plus, my 3yr old daughter loved playing with the stuffed animal, so I had to be sneaky about making it disappear. Hope it catches up to its twin.
