About This Item

This is a POW/MIA memorial geocoin. I am releasing this in memory of Pat Statz. She was never in the military, but she did spend her life serving family members of active duty soldiers. I knew her in Germany while we were both stationed there. She had her life taken too soon while working in the Pentagon on 11 Sep. 01. Looks like this one was MIA for a while. But I found it in "IAD TechDrive Small Travellers Hotel" (GC12375) I see that the log says it was placed in this Cache on 08/05, but the GoeCoin's web page had its whereabouts listed as "Unknown" even though it was still there and was not listed in the Cache inventory. This is a very nice coin. I'll keep it moving in memory of Pat Statz.

I have not seen a coin like this and I am honored to carry it for a while. My life was affected on Sept 11 as the airline I work for lost 2 airplanes but nothing like lossing a life. I will see if there is a cache near the Pentagon for a photo before traveling on.
