Travel the United States for a while and visit Germany again

About This Item

When I lived in Germany in the 1970's my parents and I hiked a lot. Usually on the weekends we participated on "Volksmaersche" "Volkmarsch" is a state sponsored hike of 15, 20 or 25 kilometers. At the end of the hike a medal is awarded. This medal was earned at a hike sponsored by both Americans and Germans, to promote friendship between our two countries. After sitting for 30 yrs in a shoebox, it's about time to go hiking again.

Als ich in den 70 Jahren in Deutschland wohnte wanderte ich sehr viel mit meinen Eltern. Oft nahmen wir an "Volksmaerschen" teil. Nach 30 Jahren im Schuhkarton, moechte dieser Freundschaftsorden wieder nach Deutschland
