Appalachian Trail - Tennessee/North Carolina

Aloha!, an addicted long distance hiker, attempted to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail in 2001 but ended the trip early with a broken femur and later a cracked tibia. She returned to her beloved trail in 2003 to complete what she started. With no broken bones Aloha! summitted Mt Katahdin in Baxter State Park, Maine on September 11, 2003. It was a journey unlike any other. A two-section hike was fantastic but it is her hope that she will one day complete a thru-hike of this AWESome trail. Aloha!

Aloha! Had hoped to start this coin while attending the AT Trail Days in Damascus, VA in May but alas... never found a cache large enough to hold it. Aloha! On my way to the Appalachian Trail "Trail Days" in Damascus, VA. Had to start this Appalachian Trail coin made for one of the two states I'll be caching in while there -- Tennessee/North Carolina! Starting it out in the cache closest to and also owned by the coin owners! Such fun! Let's hike!
