Hope this TB is not afraid of the dark!

Retrieve It from a Cache 6/5/2004 barcoder retrieved it from The Lake Victoria, Australia   Visit Log

Spent a nice time at The Lake. Thought that I would help Daddy & Sissy's TB travel a bit further in the Land of Aus.

Found visiting the ducks beside the Eastern Freeway in Melbourne Australia.

Thanks.

I dropped of this TB among the ducks on Koonung Creek. I dont know that fishing is allowed here, so Andy and Opie might have to curtail their ichthyological activities for a while.

  • Ernie the Emu says goodbye to Daddy&Sissy The thought of the colourful snake in the cache didn't fill Ernie with joy, so he kept his distance. Australia is a far cry from Taiwan, but the fishing is better here.

I picked this one up within an hour of it being deposited. In fact, I snarfed it before it was even logged into the cache! I'll take it back to Australia with me and drop it in a cache there.

Today I dropped the Daddy & Sissy TB in Taipei, Taiwan, at NTU. I will upload photos when I am at my home computer. I hope the bug doesn't get stuck here; this cache does not see a whole lot of action. But I figured it would be OK to take a chance, since I was able to get it halfway to it's goal of around the world.

  • Hsin-chu This is where Daddy & Sissy spent most of their time while they were in Taiwan (note the 7-11 sign over the vendors' heads).
  • Tienhsiang Another place Daddy & Sissy went, the Taroko Gorge.
  • More Tienhsiang A pagoda on the mountainside.
  • Taroko This is a memorial in Taroko to those who died to build the highway that passes through the gorge.
  • Taipei market On the way to the cache, but no time to stop and shop, gotta get to that cache.
  • The Daan or Ta'an Park This is a really nice park about two blocks north of the cache.
  • Daan Park scenery If you squint through the haze, you can see the Taipei 101 in the background, which is (for now) the world's tallest building.
  • Outdoor theatre in Daan Park
  • Daddy & Sissy "hanging out" in Daan Park
  • Getting warmer...
  • Warmer...
  • Ooh, so warm!
  • Hot, hot, hot! Daddy & Sissy's new home (for an hour). Safe travels Daddy & Sissy, it was fun traveling with you!
Retrieve It from a Cache 4/4/2004 psychohotline retrieved it from Ten-Mile Canal Lock Cache New Jersey   Visit Log

Picked this up at ten mile lock and will hopefully be able to deposit it somewhere cool in the near future. Where I hope to leave it, the fishing lure will be meaningful, but probably not the photo of Opie and Andy.
