Current Goal

You ever sit down and establish a top-10 list of places you want to go? Well we've got one for sports and we're hoping that we can live vicariously through this here bug...

List o' Places we'd like to see (no particular order and not all baseball related...)
1. Fenway Park, Boston
2. Lambeau Field, Green Bay
3. Miller Park, Milwaukee
4. Notre Dame, Indiana
5. Safeco Field, Seattle
6. Camden Yards, Baltimore
7. PacBell (spelling?), San Francisco
8. Baseball Hall o' Fame, Cooperstown
9. Yankee Stadium, New York
....

The list could go on forever... Take VB anywhere sporting related (your kid's little league game, your local minor league club, a local basketball or football event - you name it, we're cool with it) snap a photo, and log your find. Can hardly wait to see where you take 'im.

About This Item

Traveling Vicariously

This was a baseball that I got from a Major League game in Baltimore in 1985 (or so) from former Baltimore Oriole pitcher Sammy Stewart. He rolled it over the dugout after warmups and pretty much had me on cloud nine for about a month after the fact. I have never seen it as a "collectible" - just a sentimental reminder of a time when athletes made less than a couple million bucks a year...

Grabbed vicarious baseball. Cardinals are out of the world series, Blues are locked out, and we can't afford Rams tickets so we will take it to see the Stan the Man Musial statue at Busch Stadium. PLanning on taking it to Ohio to get as close to the Baseball Hall of Fame as possible. This will be Thanksgiving weekend so in the meantime we will find sporting events to watch on t.v.

Took ball to meet Sammy Sosa and Tony LaRussa ball. We then went to my 13 year olds soccer game were he helped them to their first win of the season! He seemed to enjoy soccer, but wanted to leave right away as the Cardinal game was getting ready to start. We drove home with my 2 year old holding him all the way. We got home just in time for first pitch, the ball just sat and watched by the TV the whole game. Cardinals lost 6-5 to Houston. We will be making a trip tommorow to drop off at a bug hotel in STL, maybe someone will be kind enough to take to the playoffs or world series if we win. Thanks for the fun day.
