Curly's Canoe Championship Medal Travel Bug

This is a 1st Place medal that Curly Voll and Dave Taylor earned in 1984 when they won the New York Canoe Racing Championship Masters Division in 1984.

Dave Taylor died of a heart attack, but Curly is still alive and kickin!

Cool medal. Wish I had found this last time I was in Austin because I would have brought it back up to the Adirondacks with me this summer... Oh well. I'll find a good spot for it, probably in Florida.

What a day - our first day caching and we found this neat bug! We fit into the over 80 club with combined ages - 89 to be exact! This will be going into a brand new cache, hopefully within the next week. Going south from here, starting to get cold ya know, but not very far, will still be in the "County". TB called to me in the middle of the night and said "TEXAS", so Austin bound it is.
