Icahn Karl is the protector of picnic goers all over the world. It is desired to have him in residence at the Hamlin Beach geocache in NY by July 4, 2004 in order for him to watch over The Away Team during their annual 4th of July picnic.
Our friends have been hosting an annual 4th of July picnic in Rochester since we graduated college, over 20 years ago. During the early years, we discovered a rubber skull on the front lawn and assumed it was a leftover from a druid ritual held while we slept. In order not to anger the gods (or lack of), we held Icahn Karl sacred for many picnics. As we wore with time, he was replaced with a newer skull - one made of plastic whose eyes would flash when you pressed his spinner handle. Alas, we became neglient and that skull was lost. That year, Charlie didn't attend, Michelle got stung by a wasp, and some of us caught a stomach virus. The wrath upon us for not keeping watch on Icahn Karl. Recently, I found the Eckxs II geocache with an exact replica of Icahn Karl. I haved tagged him as a travel bug, and hope my fellow geocachers can get him to our picnic cache at Hamlin Beach, Rochester NY in time for our next get together.

Well it does look like Icahn Karl has a very good change to get to the park by July 4th. I picked up the bug and transported it 2/3 way across the state. Since I live in Honeoye Falls, only 15 miles from Rochester, it will soon be in another cache much closer to home, that is when it stops raining.

I feel horrible. It took us two days to do Timpat's Heldeberg 4/Independence multi-cache and by the time we finally found Part II, Icahn Karl was dead. The bears must have dragged off his body because all that was left was his skinless skull. We will remember him though by hosting or attending a "picnic" in his honor before shipping his remains west. We never knew you, Mr. Karl, but we will always recall how we "met."

I grabbed the "I Cahn Karl" T.B. from NancyCz-4 "Whats Up Donald" cache. It was never offically logged into this cache but I beleive Tennescout may have dropped it off here and posted a note rather than removing it from his inventory.

at last, Icahn karl is back on his quest...picked up just before the holidays, he has languished through the bitter january in a cozy vermont farmhouse...but now he is a little further west and north and a bit closer to the july beach party...he's shivering away in Nancy Cz-4's "What's up, Donald?"
