Current Goal

To reach a cache in Skagway, Alaska so that I can retrieve it in June 2014. The geocoin disappeared for more than 10 years and recently resurfaced (it is easy to forget about trackables we have in our possession). If it moves and makes its way to Skagway, that might be the impetus for another trip north.

About This Item

In July 2011, my wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary by taking an Inside Passage cruise to Alaska. I was fortunate enough to be able to cache at each stop along the way. We never saw any whales during the voyage, but I bought this coin to remember that trip.

I recently discovered this trackable in a geocache container that I started putting together several years ago! We stopped geocaching for personal reasons, and the cache was stowed away in the garage and forgotten. When I found it, I knew I had to get it on its way again! My sincere apologies to the owner! I hope it gets to it’s intended destination!
