About This Item

8 nation First Finder Geocoin

Bought a couple of these coins to use as FTF reward for a new cache. It is intended to honor the Native Americans as the original First Finders. Our super friends NoCache-NoCredit told us they are using their 100 Finds Achieviement Geocoin as a personal travel bug. We thought it was a great idea and decided to keep one of the coins as our personal TB to go on all of our cache hunts. Thanks for the idea NCNC!

Retrieve It from a Cache 3/21/2009 GoodHunting retrieved it from Cinder Trail Illinois   Visit Log

Saturday was a very nice day so I was pleasantly surprised when Mrs. G said let’s go caching. A quick loading of the GPSr and PDA and I was ready to go. She has been feeling pretty good lately so she even went on some walks with me. Did a South to North sweep of downtown micros, many muggles out and about so we needed to be careful. Then we hit Douglas Park for a projection cache - fun. Our sixth and final cache was this one in Steward Park it was a nice walk through the park and woods to an “old style” cache under bark pieces. Really enjoyed that one.

What a miserable couple days of cashing. Yesterday we tried for three but only found one (although we did grab a TB there). Today I went back to two that I had found before because they said they had Coins or TB but they had moved on. Couldn’t look for two cuz of muggles and one cuz I didn’t have 4WD. Bottom line today one find and one DNF. Nice weather though (no snow in GA)

Good event. Met MutherandSun and lots of other new folks as well as old frinds. Got lots of signatures on a card for NCNC which was added to Bob's Birthday Bash for its new mission. Just did two caches on the way home.

Last weekend Mr. NCNC chided me about my “front page” on Geocaching.com, So this weekend I did a little something about it – I found three. SO I am pleased to report the closest cache is ALL THE WAY OUT to 4.2 miles!!!! (and it had two DNF recently so why bother.) PS I’m glad you found your keys.
