Duckie would like to visit as many interesting wet places (rivers, lakes, seas, swamps, paddling pools &c.) and underground places (caves, bunkers, basements, underground railways &c.) as possible. Duckie is particularly interested in buried rivers. Duckie is also being chased by AntiDuckie and might wish to get a bit further away!

About This Item

The wanderer before the journey begins

Duckie is one of a set of three rubber ducks purchased from a shop in Cambridge, UK. Duckie's identical twin was put into the (buried) River Fleet in London, and has swum off to a mysterious end. Duckie would like to go one better! Further details of the story of the ducks may be found here.

Couldn't find any underground rivers, but thought Duckie might enjoy this one, the American River, with a nearby flyfisherman trying for steelhead. Gray day, but mild, and signs of spring in the blossoming trees. Took a pic to show view from cache.

Poor Duckie has been sitting in a cache way too long, it's about time he got out and saw the world again! It's nice and sunny here today, near the American River in Sacramento, so shouldn't be too hard to find him a pleasant spot soon...
