Helen Bug's only goal is to stay in the Lake Tahoe area forever and ever. When you find her, please take her to another cache in or around Lake Tahoe. Please don't take her to Omaha, or Paris, or Tulare, or anywhere else but Tahoe.

About This Item

Helen Bug is dedicated to Helen Glass, my mother-in-law. She loved Lake Tahoe, and we spent many a happy Happy Hour here. She claimed her favorite sound was the pop of a champagne cork, so the bug dedicated to her had to be a champagne cork.

    Found the Helen Bug at Tompkin's View with the cork attached to it. It is the first travel bug we have found!! It was hidden with other great surprises, but we will find another good home for it in Lake Tahoe. Thanks for starting the Helen Bug. Riley(finder), Makenna (birthday girl) and Joe.

    Picked this up at GC1Q0Y9 (Edgewater Dr.) after a slippery hike down a snowy trail. If we hadnt nabbed it, it likely would have spent the winter there. Will find a suitable home somewhere around Lake Tahoe, hopefully one that can be located during the winter.

    Saw reference to this one several years ago, and thought I'd found it - but it was just another champaigne cork left to keep Helen's bug company. Glad to get to move this one around myself.
