Fritz's real goal is to migrate east-west! Go from Georgia to California and back again. "Wouldn't this be a scream," says Fritz. "I could be the only Frit that migrates sideways!" I reminded him that actually he's a swallowtail and that's when he says to me: "Oh..look at the time, got to be going. Forward my mail would you?" Hey, thanks for giving Fritz a lift.
This is Fritz the Fritillary Butterfly. He's actually a swallowtail of some species but he insists that he is a Frit! Vanity if you ask me. Despite having a brain the size of a pin head, Fritz is an intelligent bug. Don't get me wrong, he's all for migrating and all but he's really lazy. Fritz reasoned that why should he go to all that trouble to flap his wings and migrate when a much better way to travel can be had. He could forgo all this heading south and then heading north, again, by just going wherever the geocachers go. "See way cooler stuff," Fritz said. I asked him how he thought he was going to globetrot around the world and all and he told me that he has a pass port. (?) "All I have to do," said Fritz, "is lug this really cool looking Travel Bug thingy around with me and I'm on my way." Fritz would be way grateful if you see it you way to move him from cache to cache. He likes traveling lots and wants to see it all. Likes geocaches since they are so much drier than sitting on the top of a tree waiting for the wind to change. "Hey," says Fritz, "I'm a geocaching Fritillary Fool!" Would be great to get pictures of Fritz on his trip! Thanks!

Wow, Fritz has been Missing in Action here for the whole summer! I wonder what he has been up to? We found him in beautiful Pacific Grove California in the Silver and Gold cache. He wasn''''t logged as being there though.
We''''ll place him somewhere else on the Monterey Peninsula so that it gets noted that he hit the west coast before he starts heading East Again.😁

Fritz was fluttering against the lid, since it was so gorgeous outside, today, so we had to let him out. He'll head a bit West this weekend. Cache is in good shape and rather full.
