Colorado Gizzlies were Big!This trackable is in memory of "Old Mose" The Grizzily Bear."Old Mose" was called "King of the Gizzilies" He could weigh up to 1500 pounds and could stand at 10 ft. 4in. tall. "Old Mose" has the reputation of being the largest and oldest bear criminal of Fremont County,Colorado. He reportedly killed 3 men and over 800 head of range stock. "Old Mose" was killed in May 1904 by Mr. James Anthony and Wharton Pigg. The book "Old Mose" which details life in the west and the ongoing hunt for the "King of the Grizzilies" was written by James E. Perkins. The bear skin rug of "Old Mose" is now at the University of Califorina, Berkeley. Cataloged as MVZ# 113385. May the legend of "The Bears" live on!

    I usually don't pick up travel bugs, because I know life will make it difficult for me to get it passed along. But since this one doesn't seemed to have moved very much, and there is a local event coming up where I can trade him, I will make sure he gets moved to a new loving home fairly soon.
